Today we explored Perrysburg and began our exploration of the wars that affected the area. We were also exposed to a totally different area of Northwest Ohio, although it is only about twenty miles north of Bowling Green. There are some major changes between these areas. Can you think of any? Where would you have preferred to live at the time? Why do you think there were so many wars fought in this particular region? Please contemplate the differences and purposes, and then write your

response. It was a great day, culminating in a lunch at El Vaqueros in Perrysburg! Tomorrow we will continue our topic of war and how it affected Northwest Ohio. Rest Well and keep reading your books! Dorinda

Today we went three places. They are the 577 Foundation house, corn cob hill as well as fallen timbers monument.
ReplyDeleteThe 577 Foundation house is like a natural land, there are 17 places good for visiting in the house. We also ate some apples which are on a big apple tree; they are real fruits from the nature.
Corn cob hill and fallen timbers monument are two human landscapes. One thing very interesting is at the timbers monument, the land where was the battlefield now looks very beautiful and peaceful, we even saw some dear were playing there.
Today, we went to 577 Foundation and Maumee river. As we saw the notice near the maumee river, that place should have been important trade routes. I think that that was the reason why there were so many wars there. It was so hot today, but it was great experience.

ReplyDeletehi .. That was one of the interesting trip I ever had. I thought, I won't like it, but that was wrong. I learned many things, which are about the history of Ohio. But the only thing, which I would like to know, why they always fighting. Also was there a way to make them in peace? I think they were fighting because there were a gold, oil, or just for the land.In addtion, if they were fighing because they need the lake. That would be a silly thing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the 577 Foundation was kind of COOOL. I would like to go there again and collect some of that yummy apples :)
