Put in Bay

  1. If I have to describe this day in just one word, this word would be: FANTASTIC. Today we have acquired new knowledge about Lake Erie and its influence in the development of Northwest Ohio. Each one of the places we visited today were awesome. From the trip around Lake Erie on board to the boat until our ride on the cart around the island, everything has been wonderful.

  2. It was so nice trip and study. We went up to the Perry's Victory and Peace Monument. The landscape at the top was so great! And we could see the land of Canada. In the Perry's cave, it was cold inside and formed naturally. I regret that the length of the cave was very short! I expected it was longer than at least 100 meter. As teacher Dorinda said, it is so marvelous that how this island became a tourist resort so fast.

  3. The island is at the border between America and Canada. When I was standing on the tower of Perry's Victory, I can see Canada from The states, It is funny. Nowadays, the island has totally become an interesting place. I can’t feel any air about the war but the memorial and the museum mentions me that. My most favorite moment is at night, when we took the ship for going back. I can smell the sea flavor because we sat on the top floor of the ship, it is an open floor.

  4. Hank : ) I agree that for the price, Perry's cave wasn't the most fantastic place on the island. But on the other hand, Perry's cave was one of the most important, although appearing signifcant, places we visited. It is the clean water that Perry's men needed to so that they could become healthy again. Without this clean water, we would have lost the War of 1812 and we would probably be standing on British soil.

One other thought, I'm sure Perry's men were very happy the cave was only about 100 meters long because they had to extract the water for the rest of the sick crew : )

  5. The Put-in-Bay Island was magnificence place. On the way, we spend around 30 minutes until we arrived at Put-in-Bay Island. Actually, it was a long trip from the previous. The ship was nice and has three floors. We took the third floor and there was a person who gives us the necessary instructions with some information about our trip. It Was a good day
